Alabama Mayor Sentenced to 15 Years in Bribe Case (Update2) (Bloomberg)
March 5 (Bloomberg) -- The former mayor of Birmingham, Alabama, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for taking $241,000 in bribes in exchange for giving $7.2 million in sewer-bond and derivatives business to a friend who was an investment banker.
